Important People of Coketown

These men have shaped Coketown into the wonderful town that it is today. Without their help and guidance, Coketown would be nothing.  A huge thanks to:

Mr. Thomas Gradgrind, Sr. -  "A man of realities" and "a man of facts and calculations" (2), Mr. Gradgrind's philosophies have shaped the school system of Coketown. His input in the curriculum has greatly helped the students, allowing for them all to be taught the wonders of Fact. Mr. Gradgrind has shaped the next generation. Coketown would also like to thank him for being an involved and "eminently practical" governor and keeping Coketown the genuine haven that it is.

Mr. Josiah Bounderby- a self-made man and the owner of Coketown's factory as well as the bank, Mr. Bounderby is one of the biggest contributors to Coketown. His factories are lovely facilities with dedicated workers, who are just as dedicated to the world of fact as he is. The bank is home to many treasures of the people of Coketown and is all kept safe by the Bank Fairy, Mrs. Sparsit. Mr. Gradgrind's hard work is greatly appreciated.
