Places to Visit!
- The New Church: "a stuccoed edifice with a square steeple over the door, terminating in four short pinnacles like florid wooden legs" (22), this chapel is certainly original to this town. This church, whose architecture is so different than that if any other building in Coketown, is a must see.
- Bounderby's Bank: a lovely "red brick house, with black outside shutters, green inside blinds, a black street-door up two white steps, a brazen door plate, and a brazen door-handle full stop" (108), this bank is the perfect example of the typical architecture of Coketown. Be sure to make a stop here and see all of the beautiful treasures this building has to offer!
